Root HTC One X With Superboot
Steps to Root HTC One X
- First of all, download the Superboot ZIP file from here
- Put
your device in bootloader mode – Turn off the phone then turn on with
the ‘volume down’ button pressed to enter the bootloader
- Extract the contents of the ZIP file into an empty folder
- If you’re on Windows – double click ‘install-superboot-windows.bat‘ file
- If you’re on Mac – Open a terminal window to the directory containing the files, and type ‘chmod +x install-superboot-mac.sh‘ followed by ‘./install-superboot-mac.sh‘
- If you are on Linux – Open a terminal window to the directory containing the files, and type ‘chmod +x install-superboot-linux.sh‘ followed by ‘./install-superboot-linux.sh‘
- Wait for the root procedure to complete
- That’s it, you’ve successfully rooted your HTC One X!
